Advisory & Engagements
I work with firms, investors, and institutions trying to make sense of how geopolitics is reshaping the global economy, and what it means for the decisions in front of them.
My research and government experience sit where trade, finance, and national security meet. I help organizations see where that overlap creates risk and where it opens opportunity, using the same analysis I bring to my academic and policy work. Engagements run from a single briefing to sustained advisory relationships, and are built around the questions a client is actually facing.
How I work with clients
-
Strategic & economic advisory
Briefings and ongoing counsel on geoeconomic and policy risk: sanctions and export controls, supply-chain exposure, tariffs and trade policy, and the broader securitization of commerce. I help leadership teams and investment committees turn a shifting policy landscape into concrete decisions.
-
Expert commentary & testimony
I serve as an expert economist for media, litigation, and arbitration, and I provide testimony and briefings to legislative bodies and other expert audiences. My academic work has appeared in the Review of Economics and Statistics and the Journal of Labor Economics, and I am regularly cited on trade and economic statecraft.
